Kristoffer Albris keynote at Copenhagen Centre for Regulatory Science
DISTRACT member and assistant professor Kristoffer Albris gave the keynote for a conference at the Copenhagen Centre for Regulatory Science entitled Made by Disasters: On the Social, Cultural and Political Responses to Extreme Events and the Changes that Follow in Their Wake. In the keynote, Albris highlighted how research into the history of disasters can shed light on how the corona pandemic is changing us, and how the world will look like after the virus is no longer with us. In doing so, Albris presented some of the recent studies done by DISTRACT team members: on the use of hashtags during the lockdown, the use of online tools for socializing, and on online gaming patterns.
