Analogue Idyll symposium

On the 25th of august, DISTRACT researchers Kristoffer Albris and Malene Hornstrup Jespersen participated in an online symposium entitled Analogue Idyll: Disconnection, Detox and Departure from the Digital World, organized by Alexander Taylor, University of Winchester. The symposium brought together researchers from anthropology, media studies, and cultural studies, that presented research on different ways in which the problem of digital detox, disconnection and the digital backlash can be approached and studied.

Kristoffer and Malene presented findings from studies DISTRACT has done during the corona lockdown on screen usage and digital consumption. The symposium will possibly lead into a book or special issue publication at a later point.
