AI in an attention economy
In the digital environment, your attention has become a scarce commodity in an ever-growing market of data collection, analysis and application. Companies are developing systems and designing user interfaces in order to implicitly or explicitly draw your attention.
This can be used to target advertising, change behavior and affect society. We saw it with Cambridge Analytica in the 2016 presidential elections, and we see it every day with stronger echo chambers in the digital space as well as a growing stream of fake news.
Join us for an exciting evening as we sit down with Vincent Hendricks - Professor of Formal Philosophy and Director of the Center for Information and Bubble Studies at University of Copenhagen - and Sune Lehmann - Professor at DTU Compute at the Technical University of Denmark, known for combining social studies and AI - to explore the world of social networks, bubbles, and artificial intelligence.
