Indoor climate algorithm

The indoor climate in classrooms has an impact on the well-being of teachers and pupils, and ultimately also on students' benefits from teaching. A poorly regulated indoor climate can also result in unnecessarily high energy consumption. Researchers from the Department of Anthropology together with the start-up company, Climaid, as well as the municipalities of both Høje Taastrup and Copenhagen are testing an algorithm to improve indoor climate.

- The anthropological contribution is especially to understand the everyday lives and interests of users. We are also exploring how we can easily integrate the work with indoor climate as teaching so that you can ultimately use the platform in the classroom without giving extra work to, for example, teachers, says Research Assistant Eva Iris Otto from the Department of Anthropology.

The research project is supported by Realdania.
