Solidarity and volunteer help during the corona-crisis

We have seen an extraordinary mobilization help under the corona crises in Denmark. 54 percent of the population have helped, 27 percent have received help, while 14 percent did not get the help they need. But what determines that citizens get the help they need and what are the consequences of a lack of help for the wellbeing of citizens?

Postdoc at the Department of Sociology Jonas Toubøl and SODAS postdoc Hjalmar Bang Carlsen address these questions in a recent blogpost, that reports on initial findings from their research project on solidarity and volunteering under the corona crisis.
