Data Discussion: Is Attention Actually Finite?

Last Friday, Morten Axel Pedersen and Kristoffer Albris presented ongoing reflections about the DISTRACT project at a SODAS Data Data Discussion event. The presentation focused on self-critically challenging some of the assumptions that DISTRACT is founded on:

1) that attention is finite, and that as such, it is the primary scarce resource in the current data economy.

2) that digital devices are by definition distractions from something more important, which has become an increasingly challenged during the corona lockdown.
